Lady Red Hawks headed to Iowa for Women's NAIA Basketball Opening Round

Cal Pac women's champion Simpson (17-7 overall) faces the NAIA's #1 team in the opening round of the NAIA national championships, traveling to Sioux City, IA, to take on top-seeded Dordt (IA). The #16-seed Red Hawks are in the tournament for the second time. 
 
The Defenders, the regular season champions of the Great Plains Athletic Conference, are 27-1 this season and sport a high-octane offense which surpassed 100 points on four occasions.
 
The Red Hawks were a #14 seed in the 2023 tournament, falling at #3 Lewis-Clark State (73-55), and finishing with a 20-11 overall mark. Cal Pac player of the year Anna Marshall was a freshman on that team, the only member of this year's squad who played in that contest.
