#7 WU dismantles Walla Walla, heads to finals

#7 Westcliff used their power game to easily defeat Walla Walla 3-0 (25-5, 25-14, 25-16) in the first game of the semifinal match of the 2026 Cal Pac Men's Volleyball Championships. The win punches Westcliff's ticket to the conference finals later today. 

In a game of runs, Westcliff finished the first set on a 14-1 run. The second was more of the same as they won the set outscoring Walla Walla 17-9 . The third set started out more competitively as Walla Walla took an early 7-6 lead. It stayed competitive late in the third but the Warriors would go on a 10-1 run to end the match.

Westcliff's Tom Dempsey led the Warriors with 10 kills, 1 service ace and 1 dig for 11 points. Gabriel Pizza finished with 8 kills and 2 service aces in limited minutes for 11 points. Jonny Pearson finished with a team high 19 assists and 3 digs.

Walla Walla's JJ Lin-ao led his team with 5 kills and 1 dig for 5.5 points. Keagan Griffin finished with 4 kills, 5 digs and a service ace for the Wolves.

Westcliff plays the winner of #2 Simpson/#3 Pacific Union today, April 17, 2026 at 3pm.
