Westcliff, Stanton Each Surpass 100 in 3 OT Thriller
Both teams battled, but on senior night Westcliff outlasted Stanton 104-100 in triple overtime, the first time both Cal Pac teams hit the century mark in a men's basketball game since 2017.
Six players – three on each side – scored 20 points or more. Michael Noulowe led all scorers with 28 for Westcliff, joined by Lorenzo Marsh (26, with 14 rebounds), and Jeramiah Paulino (21). For Stanton, Nigel McKay topped the team with 27, Duje Srzic added 25, and Alex Stein had 24. Yasuhide Hino chipped in 17 for the Elks, going 11-for-11 at the foul line.
The Warriors (3-2 Cal Pac, 8-7 overall) and Elks (2-4, 4-15) nearly reached triple digits at the charity stripe as well with WU (33-43) and SU (44-51) combining for 94 free throw attempts.
The game marked the first conference meeting between the So Cal neighbors, with the rivals slated to meet again with Stanton hosting in their regular season final on February 21.
The previous Cal Pac double triple-digit contest featured Antelope Valley out-racing La Sierra, 105-103.
