WU Beats No. 18 HIU in Back-to-Back Walk-offs
Westcliff closed out its 2025 campaign on an eight-game win streak, highlighted by last Thursday's doubleheader sweep of No. 18 Hope International. Riding a four-game roll, the Warriors, who finished the year with a 21-21 overall record, walked off with 3-2 and 5-4 wins over the Royals and then took the final two games of the season against Grace, 8-0 and 6-2. WU's Bailey Wallace delivered the deciding runs in both HIU games, doubling home the game-winner with two outs in the bottom of the 7th in the opener and scored on a passed ball to cap an improbable three-run rally in the home half of the 7th in the second game. Alyssa Patlan went 3-for-6 in the two games to lead the offensive attack, and Bailey was 3-for-8. Airilin Ramirez and Siana San Vicente each added two hits on the day.
