2025 Softball All-Conference Team
The 2025 All-California Pacific Conference Softball team has a lot of new faces, and most of those voted to the squad will be returning next Spring. Of the 15 voted in by conference coaches, only four are seniors, a fact which bodes well for the future of Cal Pac softball.
Topping the list of 11 non-seniors is Simpson infielder Kassandra Soria, who was named Player of the Year in a poll of Cal Pac coaches. Soria steered the Red Hawks to another regular season title and will lead her team into the Continental Athletic Conference Championship next week in Lawrenceville, Ga. The San Jose, Calif., native hit .346 on the season, tying for first in in the Cal Pac in Doubles (11) and second in Extra Base Hits (15).
SU's Jacquelyn Lujan turned in a stellar season in the circle, earning her Pitcher of the Year honors. The sophomore righthander tossed two no-hitters while leading the Cal Pac in Earned Run Average (1.99), Strike Outs (132), and Strike Outs per 7 Innings (7.31) and was second in Wins (12), Saves (3), and Innings Pitched (126.1).
Westcliff's Rachel Varela was selected as the Newcomer of the Year. The junior infielder helped the Warriors qualify for the CAC Championship by batting .357 with an on base percentage of .430, and she drove in 24 runs on the season.
La Sierra's Jazlynn Hernandez was named the Freshman of the Year, the only first-year player to be named to the First Team and one of five underclassmen on the postseason list. The Golden Eagles' outfielder hit .333 on the season.
LSU's Alexis Cook was voted the Defender of the Year by conference coaches. The senior outfielder, who was an Honorable Mention in 2024 and was named to the All-Defensive Team in 2022, also contributed on the offensive side, batting .331 on the season with a .444 on base percentage and scored 31 runs in 44 games.
Simpson head coach Wayne Stower was named by his peers as the conference's top coach—the ninth time he has been recognized in his 18 years at the helm of the Red Hawks' program.
Three other players have received recognition in previous seasons. SU's Madyson Welch was Freshman of the Year and a First Team pick in 2024; Lidia Flores of La Sierra was on the All-Defensive Team the last two years; and Westcliff's Airilin Ramirez was Honorable Mention in 2023.
