Playoffs Kick Off on Nov. 7

Playoffs Kick Off on Nov. 7

The California Pacific Conference Championship seeding is set, and co-champs Westcliff and UC Merced will need to get past challenging semifinal matches in order to earn a spot in two-day tournament title game.  The Warriors, ranked No. 18 in the NAIA, and the No. 21 Bobcats played to a scoreless draw in the regular season meeting, and both squads completed the conference season unbeaten, but both have a hurdle to clear before any rematch can take place.  WU (6-0-1 in the Cal Pac and 12-1-2 overall) will face #4 seed La Sierra (4-2-1, 7-6-1) in Thursday's 4:00 pm match, followed by the matchup between #2 UCM (6-0-1, 10-0-3) and #3 Soka (4-2-1, 5-9-1) at 7:00 pm.

The Cal Pac Championship will be played in Merced, Calif., on Thursday, Nov. 7 and Saturday, Nov. 9.

Other highlights from the final weekend of the 2024 Cal Pac season:  On Thursday, La Sierra shut out Providence Christian 5-0 as Jordy Verde netted a pair of goals.  In Saturday's final day of action, Pacific Union blanked Simpson 5-0 behind Edwin Zabala's 3-goal and 1-assist performance, and Hope Suka's hat trick helped lift Soka past PCC 5-3 in Saturday's finale.
