Streaking SU Secures Second Place

Simpson swept a Southern California road trip to move into sole possession of second place in the California Pacific Conference standings.  The Red Hawks, who have now won four matches in a row, opened with a sweep of Westcliff, edged La Sierra in five sets, and then closed out the trip with a sweep at Providence Christian.  UC Merced, which suffered its first Cal Pac loss in Thursday's five-set loss at La Sierra, has a one-game advantage over SU with a 7-1 record.  PCC (5-3) and LSU (4-4) round out the top four in the conference.
